SSD with Data Caching

A solid-state drive is really quicker than any regular hard-disk drive. The reason is that an HDD works by using rotating disks, that can rotate only so fast and the more data is read and written, the slower and warmer they get, while an SDD takes advantage of modules of flash memory, hence there aren't any actually moving components. The access speeds for an SSD are significantly higher, which makes this type of drives an ideal solution any time speed is needed. Because of this SSDs are often used for the Operating System on a computer system and for saving data which is accessed regularly on hosting servers. A large number of providers also use a combination of both drives, so they keep the data on HDDs, but they use a couple of SSDs so as to cache the more often used data and as a consequence, the data loads faster while the load on the HDDs is lowered since their disks have to spin less often to read and write.

SSD with Data Caching in Hosting
The cloud platform where we create hosting accounts uses exclusively SSD drives, so your web apps and static sites will open extremely fast. The SSDs are used for files, email addresses and databases, so no matter if you open a page or check for new email messages through webmail, the content will load immediately. To offer even higher speeds, we also use multiple dedicated SSDs that work only as cache. All content which generates a lot of traffic is copied on them automatically and is later on read from them and not from the main storage drives. Of course, that content is replaced dynamically for improved efficiency. What we achieve that way except for the better speed is lowered overall load, thus lower potential for hardware failures, and extended lifespan of the main drives, which is one more level of protection for any info that you upload to your account.

If you want speed and high-end performance for your sites, our semi-dedicated server accounts will be a really suitable solution as they're generated on a cloud platform which employs SSDs for every part of the service - emails, databases and files. This way, every website that you host with us will load fast. Similar to other providers, we also use SSDs for caching, but since all storage drives are solid-state ones, you will be able to take advantage of the good performance at all times and whatever the type of your websites. The caching solid-state drives are used for load-balancing and all frequently accessed content is copied on them, which both minimizes the load and provides the good performance of all websites which load directly from the primary drives.
