The Name Servers of a domain show the DNS servers that manage its DNS records. The IP of the site (A record), the mail server that manages the emails for a domain name (MX records), any text record in free form (TXT record), directing (CNAME record) and so on are extracted from the DNS servers of the web hosting provider and for any Internet domain to be using them and to be forwarded to their hosting platform, it has to have their name servers, or NS records. If you would like to open a website, for instance, and you enter the URL, the web browser connects to a DNS server, which keeps the NS records for the domain address and the request is then redirected to the DNS servers of the hosting company where the A record of the web site is retrieved, so that you can see the content from the correct location. Commonly a domain has 2 name servers that start with NS or DNS as a prefix and the difference between the two is only visual.
NS Records in Hosting
When you use a Linux hosting service from our company and you include a new domain address inside the account or transfer an existing one from another company, you are going to be able to control its NS records easily via the Hepsia hosting CP, which comes with all shared accounts. You'll be able to change the current name servers or enter additional ones for a single domain address or even for a number of domain addresses at the same time with several mouse clicks. This is done through the feature-rich Domain Manager tool that is a part of Hepsia and the user-friendly interface is going to make it easy to handle your domain address even if it is the first one you have ever registered. It requires just a click to see what name servers a domain uses at the moment or if they are the correct ones to forward a domain address to the hosting space on our end and with only a couple of clicks more you will even be able to register private name servers for each of the domain names that you own. For the latter option you can use the IP addresses of any company that you want the new NS records to direct to.
NS Records in Semi-dedicated Servers
The name servers for every domain address which is registered through our company may be changed with no more than a few clicks through the innovative, although easy-to-use Hepsia Control Panel included with all semi-dedicated server plans. It's just as simple to see the current NS records for a given domain name and to verify if they're the ones that are needed for the domain to be directed to your hosting account. The Domain Manager tool, which is a part of Hepsia, is user-friendly enough to enable you to manage any domain address easily even if you have never dealt with such matters before. If you would like, you may also register private name servers ns1.your-domain.com and ns2.your-domain.com and use them not only for the domain under which they're set up, but also for any other domain name that you'd like to host inside the very same account. This option is very useful when you have customers of your own and you want their sites to use your own name servers in lieu of our default ones. The service is totally free.
