SSH Telnet
What precisely is SSH? How do you control a server over SSH?
Secure Shell, better known as SSH, is a cryptographic network protocol used to execute commands on a remote server or to exchange information between a hosting server and a client. Since the information exchanged by the 2 sides is encoded, a third party can't intercept it, which makes SSH a favored means of handling a hosting account. The commands that could be executed depend on the type of hosting service. On a shared server, in particular, the choices are limited as you won't have root access to the website hosting server, so you can simply create/move/delete files, create and unpack archives, export and import databases, and so on. They're all actions that are carried out inside the shared hosting account and do not require a higher level of access. Through a virtual or a dedicated server, you'll be able to install server-side software or to restart the machine or only a particular service (web server, database server, etc.). SSH commands are submitted via a command line, but if you don't employ a UNIX-like OS, there are plenty of apps for other OSs, you can employ to connect to the remote server as well.

SSH Telnet in Hosting
SSH access is provided with all Linux hosting service which we offer you. With some of them, it's offered as standard, while with others it is an optional upgrade you can include with several mouse clicks in your web hosting CP. You could get SSH access through the section related to it in which you can also find the information you need to connect - the host, the port number and the username. You could choose the password that you shall use and, if necessary, you shall be able to modify it with a few mouse clicks from the same spot. All commands which can be used with our shared plans are listed in a help article along with relevant examples. If the SSH access function is permitted for your account, you'll also be able to upload files using your preferred FTP client via an SFTP connection.
- SSH Telnet in Semi-dedicated Servers
All our semi-dedicated server accounts provide the possibility to access and manage them using SSH. If the package that you've selected incorporates this function by default, you just have to enable the SSH access function through the corresponding section of the Hepsia Control Panel. If the function is listed as an additional upgrade, you can quickly add it using the Add Services/Upgrades link in the Hepsia Control Panel and it will be available within a minute. We have a variety of help articles and educational videos regarding the use of SSH commands to handle your account and a full list of the commands which you can perform alongside a number of examples to give you a better perception of what you could do. If SSH is active, you'll also be able to create an SFTP connection to the account and to upload files safely using any FTP app that supports the feature.- SSH Telnet in VPS Servers
You will be able to use SSH to handle your content regardless which VPS servers you choose when you sign up, as all our plans offer this function by default. You will not need to add or allow anything manually - as soon as your website hosting server is prepared and you get the Welcome e mail with the login credentials, you could connect and start working on your sites or any software which you want to set up and run on the web server. You'll have root-level access to the VPS and due to the fact that the account will be isolated from all of the other accounts on the physical hosting server, you'll be able to do anything you need without any restrictions. You may set up any app you require and that will run on a Linux-based hosting server, restart any software server (web, database, game, media, etc.) and work with your files and databases quickly and easily. - SSH Telnet in Semi-dedicated Servers
